We invite you to taste six wines for $5. When available, our Ice Wine may be tasted for an additional $2 fee.
Q. How late can we arrive when you are open and still taste wine?
We recommend arriving no later than 4:45pm for an enjoyable tasting experience. Please remember, at 5pm Galen Glen reverts back to being our home!
Q. Do we need a reservation for a tasting?
We require reservations for groups of 7 or more guests traveling by car. See commercial vehicles below.
Q. We're planning a commercial vehicle tour of local wineries. Do we need a reservation?
YES! We only accept commercial vehicle groups from 9am-12 noon on Saturdays and 11am-1pm on Sundays. We staff our tasting room to assure that all of our guests have an enjoyable experience. Groups without reservations may be denied service because we are understaffed or our facility is already full.
Q. When is the best time to visit?
If you are looking for a quiet afternoon with one-on-one interaction with our knowledgeable tasting room staff, then we recommend a week day visit. Please check our hours for what weekdays we are open. If you are looking for a lot of interaction with other visitors and a more festive atmosphere, we recommend visiting on Saturdays and Sundays between 1pm-4pm.
Q. Do you offer anything else besides wine?
Wine is our focus, but we do have a small gift area in our tasting room with an ever-changing collection of wares and gourmet food items.
Q. Can we bring our children to the winery?
We require all children to be supervised, quiet and well behaved. If your child is disruptive to guests, damaging our property or our landscaping, you will be asked to leave.
Q. Can we bring our pet to the winery?
We require all pets to be leashed, well behaved and cleaned up after. If your pet is disruptive to guests, damaging our property or our landscaping, you will be asked to leave. No pets are allowed inside the tasting room or winery, except service dogs.
Q. Do we need to make a reservation for a walking tour?
No reservations are required. Periodically, we offer guided walking tours through our vineyard and to our wine cellar, weather permitting. Sturdy foot gear is necessary. Tours occur on various dates from spring through fall. Please look under Happenings and select the month you are visiting to see if we are offering tours. Most tours last approximately one hour.
Q. Is the tour suitable for children?
Children are welcome to take our tour, but please seriously consider if your child will be interested in a one hour tour about winegrowing and winemaking. We require all children to be supervised, quiet and well behaved. If your child is disruptive to guests, damaging our property or our landscaping, you will be asked to leave.
